Barracuda Lake

A diver's bucket-list lake: a sheltered, cliff-ringed basin famous for surreal thermoclines where water temperature can leap past 38°C as you descend, with limestone walls and almost no current. Snorkelers enjoy the dramatic cliff scenery and warm surface; divers come for the otherworldly visibility and rock formations. Best for: scuba divers and adventurous snorkelers after Coron's strangest, most memorable water.
